Birth trauma is rising. Perinatal mental health problems are rising. Intervention rates are rising.

Yet 79% of parents who go to birth classes attend more than one… Come again?

You’ve known for a while that something about this simply doesn’t add up…

THE SOLUTIONS FEEL ... FLIMSY

The “empowered birth”, Five-star reviews. Flash cards and PowerPoints. Plenty of enthusiasm.

But where's the professional depth? The critical thinking? The complexity needed for today's reality? It's not necessarily wrong. It just doesn't feel substantial enough to build a profession on.

NOTHING FEELS LIKE THE WHOLE 'THING'

You don't want to run a class and wave families off at the end of it. You want to be “with women” and families – to know them, earn their trust and stay alongside them as their needs change.

Because you’ve seen the evidence: continuity genuinely changes outcomes for families.

Ironically, you’ve been trying to piece together your career in the same way parents are left piecing together their support.

You weren’t looking for a course. You were looking for a profession.

When someone first comes to you, you’re not limited by the subject of the class they booked.

You walk alongside them. Create a pathway and package of support around their family, rather than expecting them to find the next professional themselves.

That’s the career you’ve been trying to duct tape together. And it’s why the Advanced Childbirth Educator Diploma weaves seven professional qualifications, plus the ECLATra specialist diploma for high-risk and complex pathways, together into one connected programme. You’ll develop the specialist skills to support families across their whole journey – from pregnancy into toddlerhood – while learning how to turn that breadth into clear pathways of support they can actually use.

So that you can be the person who sees the whole picture, and supports the whole picture.

Specialist skills with professional weight. A career you’ll be proud to put your name to.

You wouldn’t be right for this diploma if you took any of it on trust, so let us save you the digging.

Meet Lizzie, the founder of ATI

I started out in marketing, working for companies like McDonald’s and Saab, before I switched to midwifery because I wanted to be with women.

But then I saw the truth.

I watched parents flounder without the support they needed, parents frightened into inductions that somehow never landed on a weekend or a bank holiday (work that one out). Consent treated as an optional extra.

So when I left my training, I didn’t want to recreate the same problem with prettier classes.

I wanted to understand what actually changes outcomes,  and I became obsessed with two things nobody seemed to be putting together: birth education and mental health.

Over the next 16 years, I researched, tested and researched again, eventually creating frameworks I now call the 3D rEvolution and ECLATra.

These took my classes to supporting over 40 parents every month – some travelling two hours to get to me. All whilst raising my daughter as a single parent, and battling with ADHD.

I’m now using the frameworks I designed back then to train others like yourself and to inform my PhD in perinatal mental health education, using my own parent community, BirthWorld, as the research base.

I don’t do hype or inflated claims. I’ve watched too many educators collect certificate after certificate and still wonder why their classes won’t fill. What I can give you is the training that genuinely makes a difference to your parents, and the business strategy that fills the classes and earns a good income.

That’s ATI. And the same NHS I walked away from now sends its own people to learn it from us.

When you enrol, you’re building a working practice and making money in as little as eight weeks.

When you enrol, you’re not just learning, you’re building a career step by step, with every tool, skill, and support system included, right from the word go!

Step 1: Start teaching, fast.

You finish your first diploma and start teaching real families in as little as eight weeks. No waiting until all seven are done, you begin earning and building experience straight away, with ready made lesson plans, parent handouts and a full teaching kit, so you walk into that first class with it all ready rather than cobbling it together the night before.

Step 2: Build out across all seven.

From there you work through the rest of the diplomas, with weekly live tutorials and expert tutors on hand to help you apply each one as you go. You’re never left working it out on your own.

Step 3: Learn to transform, not just teach.

This is where the 3D rEvolution™ does its work. It's the difference between parents leaving your class with information and leaving with conviction that holds when someone in scrubs pushes back at 2am. It's also why families will travel hours to be taught by someone trained this way.

Step 4: Build the business while you train.

From day one you're building the part most training leaves you to figure out alone: the actual business. Your brand, your services, your visibility, your pricing, your website, with hands-on help from mentors, in-person marketing workshops and the AI tools we've built for this industry. By the time you qualify, your practice isn't a someday plan. It's already running.

Step 5: Graduate with a career, not a certificate.

You finish with a globally recognised qualification, a business that already works, and the standing to be the educator your area sends people to. And if you'd rather teach than market, you can step straight into BirthWorld and have the clients brought to you.

And it doesn’t stop at graduation. Optional in-person workshops for hands-on practice, and free CPD for life, so your skills and your credibility keep growing for as long as you want them to.

Meet Lottie

“This helps me to provide continuity of care to my families for as long as they need”

“In 2018, I qualified as a midwife, but knew that women often lacked the vital support they needed and the damage this caused. This inspired me to step outside the hospital walls and offer support “in the field”. I chose the Advanced Diploma because I wanted to complete my Childbirth Educator training and I loved that this helps me to provide continuity of care and support to my families for as long as they need it. Childbirth education classes and breastfeeding now make up a significant portion of my business and they keep me so busy I haven’t yet finished the Advanced Diploma. It’s good to know that I can take my time in finishing the Diploma while being able to teach and earn money.”

Plus ECLATra – the “high” risk pathway

High-risk care needs high-level skills.

ECLATra is an industry-first specialist diploma for professionals supporting parents on high-risk or complex pathways.

9 in 10 parents now present with at-risk indicators, and around half are placed onto medicalised care pathways, reducing their choice, control and voice.

The ECLATra equips you with advanced skills such as advocacy, leadership, coaching, and trauma-informed practice, enabling you to work safely and ethically with families navigating complex pregnancies, medicalised care, or previous birth trauma, stepping into the gap left by standard birth classes or support.

For many, ECLATra becomes a distinct income stream, often adding around £2,000 per month through specialist group programmes, private coaching, and targeted support pathways that sit outside of mainstream birth education and support.

The ECLATra doesn’t just expand what you offer.
It changes who you’re able to support and how you help them.

And wrapped around the lot ...

Everything that turns a pile of qualifications into a working career not an expensive hobby:

Career-ready training and in-person skills days.

Which all starts when you do, so that you can be taking bookings whilst studying – our earn and learn structure.

The marketing bit (don't skip this)

We’ll be straight with you: The marketing world reinvents itself roughly weekly at the moment, so the marketing training and support has to be a beast to keep up
– this is just a snapshot of what’s included!

And then there’s the AI.

The marketing world reinvents itself roughly weekly at the moment, so we keep up with it so you don’t have to. We’ve built AI tools specifically for the perinatal world, and we’ll teach you to use them skilfully, ethically and well. And if AI doesn’t sit right with your values? That’s fine. Genuinely. We’ll show you how to get the same results without it. Either way, you’ll be taught all of it — because our job is to hand you every technique that could support you, and yours is to decide which ones fit who you are. Nobody here will shame you for the tools you use, and nobody will pigeonhole you into our ethics. Your business, your call.

What could you earn as a childbirth educator?

A weekend antenatal or hypnobirthing course, run for up to ten couples, comes in at £2,570. A postnatal or newborn course? The same again.

One of each in a month puts you at £5,140 — before you’ve touched anything else.

And that’s the floor, not the ceiling. On top of it sit doula work at £1,250 to £2,500 a client, sleep coaching at £750 a class, support circles, one-to-one feeding support, baby massage. The breadth is the whole point: the same family can pay you in several different ways across eighteen months, instead of booking one class and waving goodbye.

Now for the catch …

Those are the going rates, but they aren’t guaranteed. Whether you fill those courses is the variable, and it’s the entire reason the marketing support exists. Fill them, and £5,000 a month is more than achievable.

Beyond your own classes, some graduates are paid through TRICARE and Carrot. TRICARE is the US military’s healthcare programme, which covers forces families stationed here in the UK. Carrot is the fertility and family benefit that employers buy in for their staff. Both route paid work to qualified perinatal professionals – and they pay well. Doulas average about £6000-£8000 a client, depending on skill set and service.

Tara Quaine Advanced Childbirth Educator & Practitioner in the 1001 Days

It’s split into 4 main steps.

Study online, at your own pace, in your own time. Immediate access on sign up, lifetime access to course, tutorials and all updates.

Attend the live zoom tutorials, held weekly on Mon, Tues or Thursday at 7pm UK time. Can’t make it? Watch on replay or select a different day that suits your diary.

Practise your skills online and at our workshops. Held annually across the country.  Attendance is optional

Continue your learning and support with access to the Perinatal HiveMind

For a more detailed breakdown see How the Antenatal Diplomas Work

None! Your qualification doesn’t “run out”, it doesn’t need renewing, you are not tied to any licensing or membership. After the Childbirth Teacher Training you are an independent practitioner.

Anywhere you deem suitable. This may be your home, it may be a community centre – I’ve even taught in a yurt, wedding venues and a boat!  Inside the Childbirth Teacher  training you will  discover lots of tips on how to choose venues, how to manipulate venues – even how to source venues depending on the weather and season!!

It’s certainly unusual, I will grant you that, but in reality all birth workers, no matter what specialist area they work in, are by nature and need, evidence based. I have come across accredited training which not only was a load of twaddle, but also highly dangerous – why? because the teacher in question had no idea about research (or no interest in keeping up to date).

As for the other more unusual modules – well again, it’s not just about the birthing person, it’s not just about the neurotypical parent, to give well-rounded, brilliant classes you need to be able to flex and adapt to all parents’ needs.

Your training consists of the online self-paced modules, as well as a series of live tutorials on all manner of subjects.

Each tutorial is between 1 and 2 hours enabling you to fit this round your schedule and you can pick and choose which ones, and how many you come to.

We also don’t insist you join these live, as they are recorded, and we recognise that 7pm UK is probably 3am for some of our students!

These tutorials are a mix of support, chances to get questions answered and to discuss your learnings and insights.

After your Antenatal Educator training, these tutorials can continue if you wish! Just because you’ve qualified does not mean we remove the live support.

We also have a Facebook group and CPD opportunities for mentorship led by the team and guest experts.

It’s very understandable to be nervous – after all learning online is very different to teaching a group of strangers in person!

ATI gives you the chance to learn and practise how to teach in a variety of different ways – from online live and recorded sessions, to our workshops that help you develop your skills in private and group classes.

We even take you through the different skill sets involved in running retreats and community events!

So no matter how you want to teach your classes you are covered with plenty of chances to practise.

There are three main reasons really.

The first is the way we teach you – to consciously consider and design your lessons – how you want them to be. We don’t teach you to teach “our way”. We encourage and support you to explore the way that feels right for you and your parents.

Of course, we have so many resources included in your Antenatal Educator training that you can, if you want, just pick these up and run with them. Whatever is right for you!

The second thing is our vision to see Antenatal Educators recognised as a valuable part of a parent’s maternity team. To see them recognised as the expert professional we train you to be. This means our training is so levelled up, you will be able to take great pride in your work, but also stand shoulder to shoulder with other professionals (as one student said, I could “hold my own”)

And lastly, but most importantly, is the 3D rEvolution and the ECLATra methodologies. Combining holistic and evidence-based care to impact a parent’s emotional and mental well-being is THE core reason why ATI exists.

Just take this simple comparison as an example – our Advocacy training (just this one element from the ECLATra training) is a 16-hour module, whilst others offer this through a 2-hour workshop.

This is the difference between gaining an understanding of a topic or gaining a strong skill set.

Go beyond simply being an Antenatal Educator.

Yes, yes you can!

OK, so let’s start with our ongoing extensive marketing training and support. Getting you up and running with your brand, your message and marketing from the moment you enrol – but importantly KEEPING it going beyond qualification!

Instagram likes dropped off a cliff, TikTok reel showing to 3 people (and one’s your Gran)? Pop onto a tutorial and get Pamela’s eyes directly on your feed and  fix the problem!

Lifetime support and lifetime updates for an ever-changing, and frankly often confusing part of your business.

If you don’t have the time to market your classes or simply don’t want to bother with it (who could blame you!) you also have the choice to teach for your UK wide agency BirthWorld CIC. Gain clients on autopilot and just turn up and teach!

Birth World

Well to be honest you don’t know until you try. We won’t be for everyone admittedly, and nor do we try.

But to help you decide, we do have a taster experience so you can have a go at some of the modules, see our workbooks and generally see how the backend fits together.

Just pop to the link below to take a look.

But we also offer a 14-day, no questions asked money back guarantee. So if you sign up and it’s not for you, just let us know and we will pop your money back into your account with no deductions and absolutely no risk.

No absolutely not. There are no entry requirements.

We will support anyone to become the wonderful antenatal educator they can be.

Our training will take you from ground zero to fully fledged professional Antenatal Educator

Depending on your circumstances – yes.

Not as such, no

The big problem is that there is a lot of substandard teaching out there, and we can’t be sure exactly what is and isn’t in other trainings.

So to level the playing field, we don’t do a “conversion course”, instead what we do is recognise your prior learning and offer a 50% discount! Simply send us your certificates from each qualification to receive a discount code, to our FULL course.

Not as such, no

Midwives and educators are entirely two different careers, requiring shared knowledge but different skill sets.

Think of it this way – how many times did you sit through the most dreadful presentation because whilst the teacher knew their “stuff”, boy oh boy did they not know how to teach in an engaging way so that you actually retained what they were talking about? (free tip – chuck the presentations in the bin!)

So to level the playing field, we don’t do a “conversion course”, instead what we do is recognise your prior learning and offer a 20% discount! Simply send us your certificate to receive a discount code to access the FULL course.

You knew there had to be a better way. Chances are you’ve already been it for years, on wards, at kitchen tables, wherever people kept finding you with their questions. The better way was never a mystery. It just didn’t have a name, a qualification, a framework, and a directory full of parents waiting at the end of it. Now it does.

And a career built this way is yours in a way employment never is. Your clients, your hours, your fees, your name on the directory. It can't be restructured away or handed to someone cheaper. It grows for exactly as long as you do.
