If we believe we have the most comprehensive qualifications out there, ran by some of the top tutors in their fields, then we feel confident you will as well. This doesn’t however, mean we don’t take your learning seriously. We do run this qualification as a real course. We totally refuse to send antenatal educators out into the world based on a weekend workshop and a few quick questionnaires, or sloppy teaching – in our view, that’s dangerous and unethical. Equally, we are not a university and as such we don’t feel that essays, deadlines and strict tests make a great educator. There is a middle ground.
As such we cater for all learning styles and we do have policies in place to support students that have learning differences, been out of education for a long period of time, or just those that need support finding their feet in order to succeed! These policies allow more time for tests, different assessment procedures, one to one support, extra or access to to recorded tutorials etc . This applies to all students and not just this with learning differences.
